In Victory Spark (and SvsM) TCG, you will be dealing strictly with just Character cards. Hence, the Character card is the only type of card that you will need to know for this game.

Below is a quick breakdown of what you should find on any VS/SvsM card.

*All lines in smaller, italics font are for this site's references, but similar comparison can be made to the actual cards themselves, though there may be some slight discrepancies.


(1) Name 名前
The name of the card.

When the Name is involved in any ability effect, it will be indicated within " " on this site.


(2) Level レベル
The printed level of the card.

- To play this card from Hand to Ring/Bench, or moving from Ring to Bench, you will need to pay the cost equal to the number indicated as Level.

- The cost of payment is by setting the required number of Energy to [Rest] position.


(3) Title 称号
The card's unique title or calling sign.

- A card's full name include both Name/Title.
E.g. "Yuuki Mikan/Stray Cats".

- A card with the same Name, but different Title is not considered an identical card, and hence shouldn't be treated as such.

When the Title is involved in any ability effect, it will be indicated within < > on this site.


(4) Gender 性別
The sex/gender of the card.

Males will be indicated as icon_spade.gif and written as Male, while Females are indicated as icon_heart.gif and written as Female.

- A card may include both Genders, or in rarer cases, none.


(5) Partner Name パートナーの名前
The name of the partner.

- It is normally used in conjunction with the Partner Title when applying Partner Attack or Partner Block.


(6) Partner Title パートナーの称号
The title of the partner.

- It is normally used in conjunction with the Partner Name when applying Partner Attack or Partner Block.


(7) Partner Gender パートナーの性別
The gender of the partner. Refer to (4) Gender.

- Some ability effects may take into account the Gender of the partner.


(8) Series Name 作品名
The name of the series/work that the card originates from.

- Some ability effects may take into account the Series of the card.

When the Series is involved in any ability effect, it will be indicated within " " on this site.


(9) Attack Power 攻撃力
The printed value of the card's Attack Power.

- It is normally used to calculate battles in Attack Phase.


(10) Defense Power 防御力
The printed value of the card's Defense Power.

- It is normally used to calculate battles in Attack Phase.


(11) Ability Name 技名
The name of the Ability.

Ability Names are written like flavor texts, and are indicated within [ ] on this site.


(12) Ability Effect 技効果
The printed description of how to play this card.

- Abilities are categorize between 3 types: Startup 起, Auto 自, or Continuous 永.
More details will be discussed in another section under Abilities.

- An effect may indicate a place in which the card needs to be located in order for it to work.
It will be indicated within ( ) on this site. E.g. (Ring).

When there is a cost involved, it will be indicated within [ ] on this site.

When a subsequent ability effect can be acquired from an existing ability effect, the new effect will be indicated within { } on this site.


(13) Ability Trait 技属性
The type of trait(s) for this particular ability.

- In some ability effects, an Ability Trait may be referred to in a shortened form.
E.g. «Hero» ability trait card, becomes simply «Hero».

- Whenever an Ability Trait is added to a card, that specific trait is added to all abilities that card has.
E.g. If the card has two different abilities, it will thus gain the trait on each of its two abilities.

When the Ability Trait is involved in any ability effect, it will be indicated within « » on this site.


(14) Rarity
Indicated by small "orb(s)". The rarer the card is, the more number of orbs it will have.

- Common (C) = 1 red orb
- Uncommon (U) = 2 red orbs
- Rare (R) = 3 red orbs
- Double Rare (RR) = 4 red orbs

The rarer cards, usually foiled-printed or with an autograph, are marked in purple/violet or blue orbs, instead of red.

- Super/Special Parallel (SP) = 2 blue orbs
- Super/Special/Signed Rare (SR) = 1 purple orb

Promotional cards, given out in official events or collected from various related goods, do not possess any orb. They are simply marked with P, or (PR) on this site.

The letters indicated within the brackets above are used when referring to rarity grade on this site.
